Cristiano Codagnone

University of Milan and Associate Professor at the MBA programme of Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC)

Cristiano Codagnone has a degree in Economics from Bocconi University (Italy), and a Ph.D. in sociology from New York University (1995). Starting from November 1st 2011, he has a joint position both at the University of Milan and as Associate Professor at the MBA programme of Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) where he will also collaborate as Senior Researcher in the Interdisciplinary Research Group on ICTs (i2TIC) of UOC.

Since 2005 he has applied his combined expertise in economics and sociology to the socio-economic analysis of information society developments and policies in areas such as eGovernment, eInclusion, and especially eHealth (since 2007). Between September 2009 and September 2011 he has worked as the lead Senior Scientist in the IPTS project Strategic Intelligence Monitor of Personal Health Systems and has been focussing on remote monitoring and treatment, predictive and preventive medicine, network medicine. He recently published several technical reports in the domain of eHealth.
